Then this is the right place for you. Read this article below that will enlighten you about some dog training tricks that will help you solve your problems with your dog’s growling.

Before I explain how to teach a dog to growl, I must introduce you with a dog-training device called the clicker. The clicker works by sounding a buzz and then releasing a loud noise when pressed. It is very easy to use and effective dog training tool. You can use it both at home and in the field.

The problem arises due to the tendency of dog’s to growl when they see another dog or an animal approaching. If your dog has just seen another dog, he may growl as he has learned that if he barks, the other dog will hear him and will run away. You don’t have to punish your dog for his wrong doing. Instead, you should use the clicker method and train him to stop barking when a stranger approaches.

Now, how to teach a dog to be silent when you are training him for dog fight. There are several methods to suppress your dog’s barking while you are training him for a sport or to keep him from being a nuisance at home. You may use either positive reinforcement or negative reinforcement while training him for these two types of problem behavior. Here is a comparison between these two types of training:

Positive Reinforcement: This is probably one of the most effective training techniques and is very easy to apply in training your dog to be quiet when you are training him for dog fight. Just use some goodies such as treats or even money as a reward for silence your dog. Your dog growling at someone will not be treated in this manner.

The clicker method: This is highly recommended by dog trainers especially those who do not have much experience. The clicker training technique involves small sound waves that you set. When your dog starts to bark, it means that he got the ‘click’ signal and he knows what is expected of him. You can also use a clicker method while training your dog for tricks. With this method, your dog will learn very quickly, in a short period of time.

Distracting the dog: You can use a toy which makes your dog to bark or you can make the sound yourself. Your dog growling at someone will never be treated in this manner. You can simply distract your dog with other things like a dog toy. Once your dog learns to ignore the sound of the clicker method, you can start using the clicker training to train your dog for quiet behavior.

Teaching your dog to be quiet when you are training him is very easy. If you are able to control your dog while you are training him, you will be able to train him to behave properly when you tell him to be quiet. Some people will tell you that they cannot train their dog to be quiet. It is very true that not all dogs are quiet to begin with so you cannot expect your dog to behave otherwise. But if you will follow some simple training tips, you can easily train your dog to behave properly when you are telling him to be quiet.
