Do I Need to Crate Train My Dog?

One of the best dog training tips out there is to crate train your dog. Crating is not new, but this method allows you to crate train your dog and still have them go outside when they want to relieve themselves. This article will explain, do I need to crate train my dog and some other dog training tips.

When I say do I need to crate train my dog, it means that you need to house train your dog when they are young. This is a good idea because dogs are actually not very house active when they are puppies. They like to stay in their own little world and by keeping them in their little world when they are young, they will not develop bad behavior habits later on. This is also a good idea because puppies are very cute when they are little and we don’t want them running around all over our house. If they get their hair tangled in the carpet or in the drapes, we don’t want them to be chewing us out and causing a lot of damage. This also keeps them from doing things that might be considered destructive.

To start, when your puppy is a puppy, you should leave him in his crate most of the time. Then as he gets older, leave him in his crate when you are at work and you can check up on him during the day while you are at work. That way when you come home in the evening, you can take him outside to relieve yourself. It is usually a good idea to use a crate for training because he is in his little dog world inside the crate.

The dog training tricks that you can do when your dog stays in his crate are pretty much the same as when he is outside. There are just a couple more things that you can try. One thing you can do is have some treats in your crate. If your dog goes into his crate, but doesn’t come out again for about an hour, then put some of the dog training treats in the crate.

This will make him go in and out of it when he wants to come back. Another one is to have him sit or lie down next to the door. Once you let him know that he has to go outside or he will get in trouble, then lead him to the door and wait for him to come in. Once he comes in praise him and let him know that he did a good job. He might even jump right in the middle of the dog training tricks.

Another thing that you can do is have a treat ready when your dog gets inside the crate. Take your hand and put it on his belly. When he starts to whine and cry, put your hand on his chest and give him a bit of the dog training treat. When he goes in the crate again, give him the treat. If he doesn’t go in the crate, wait until he settles down and then give him the dog training treat and praise him.

Before you bring your dog home for the first time make sure that you have already crate trained your puppy. You should always remember to let your dog go in there when they want to sleep. You do not want them sleeping in their crate because it can cause them to have problems sleeping later on in life. Also you want to make it so they can see their items if they want.

Crate training for puppies can take some time but in the end it will be a great thing for both you and your dog. It will teach your dog that they are supposed to be inside the crate when they want to sleep. Also it will allow you to keep them safe from any potential danger.
