If you need an inexpensive and reliable way to protect your premises or your family, then consider hiring a personal guard dog. These dogs are highly trained and can be depended upon in most situations. The following are some dog training tricks that can make dog training more effective.

Although it’s more expensive, one on one guard dog training isn’t the best of the two. Ideally, you should come into contact with the dog during its initial introduction to society by taking it to the same type of training program that you would when training a canine. Most importantly, this should be a behavior-compatible program. This means that your puppy shouldn’t be mixed in with other breed dogs because they’ll have a hard time adapting. You should also choose a breed that has a good intelligence level.

Before you look into the ratings of various dog breeds, try looking up the American Kennel Club (AKC) website and do a breed review. For puppies, it’s important to note that different breeds have different temperaments. Some are very lively, while others are more passive. Choose one that is most likely to be a well-balanced companion.

As mentioned above, an AKC breed review can help you understand what characteristics to look for when you’re considering the best breed for a protective dog. It should give you a list of characteristics which are most likely to contribute to the dog’s temperament. Then find out about the protective nature of each of those traits. Some traits to look for include aggressiveness, aggression, protective instincts and herding instincts. If you want a dog which has high intelligence, then a dog which has low prey drive might not be the best choice. Remember that you have to take into account the dog’s behavior as well when you are rating its temperament and intelligence.

If you want to look up your prospective guard dog’s reputation, then do a little research on the Internet. It would be wise to talk with people who have owned the dog you are considering. Try to ask if the dog performed up to par, and if the dog was ever clipped. Ideally, you should ask for references, since that would ensure you only get the best. When you do the rating, use the same criteria as the dog breeder to rate your prospective hound.

After you’ve chosen the dog breed you want, then it’s time to look at the ratings for intelligent and inquisitive dogs. The breed rating system is pretty straightforward. Firstly, look up the word ‘intelligent’ in your search engine and see how many results come up. Use the ranking system and pick the highest-ranking dog in the bunch. Your puppy should be quite smart, so keep that in mind when you are rating its intellect.

In the breed review section of the dog’s information sheet, check out the different possible breeds. You should find at least one good breed for you personally. From there you should be able to make your decision. The other important thing to keep in mind is that these tests don’t always take into account some of the more important personality factors, like breed patterns and appearance. This can make a huge difference in the overall personality of your dog and make it a lot more difficult to figure out the dog’s true temperament. That’s why we recommend using the dog’s temperament rating instead.

Personal guard dog ratings will probably vary from person to person. What you do though is take your own information and use it to rate each dog based on its physical appearance and temperament. From there you should be able to get the best dog for you and your family. That way you can rest easy knowing you have a guard dog who’s going to protect you and your family.
