Teaching your dog how to protect you can be quite dangerous. Even small dogs can bark just because they’re afraid. Dogs also bark to let others in the home know that they’re there, communicate with other animals, and even to let you know that they exist. How can you figure out how to train your dog to protect you? There are many dog training tips and tricks that you should learn about if you want to make sure that your dog stays by your side at all times.
One of the first dog training tips that you should learn is that there are several different types of commands for different situations. You have to teach your dog how to recognize the commands for “away” and “here” and how to use them. Different dogs will bark at certain things when these commands are given while other dogs won’t even budge an inch when you give these commands. The problem is that you have to get your dog used to recognizing the commands in advance so that you can teach him what to do when given a specific command. It helps if you have more than one dog, since you can teach one dog the commands for away and another dog for here. You should also make sure that you get your dog used to being taught commands because your dog needs to know what these commands mean when you give them to him.
A good place to start is with the basic commands like sit, come, stand, down, and quiet command. Teach him these commands and get him used to responding to them while he’s around you. When you bring him into the room or area that you want him to go to and give the command Quiet, tell him to sit and stand. He should only have to sit or stand once he gets used to the command.
If you want to teach him other commands like leave, close, or protect you then you’ll have to modify the SitStayFetch routine that you were using to train him when you first started. You can teach him this by telling him to sit and then standing still and waiting for him to leave his spot while you leave the room. You should only need to train him about three times before he starts following your orders when he sees that you are expecting him to do them.
In the next lesson, I suggest combining two commands that you want him to learn. This one is called Flock and Come. When you combine these two commands together, you should teach him how to park safely around you. When he stays where he’s supposed to, you reward him with a treat. When he goes out you tell him to stop and when he goes back in you reward him again.
The third and final step is to teach him the bark command. With this lesson, you will repeat the same routine as in the previous lessons but this time use the bark command instead of the sit, stay and leave commands. To teach this dog trick you should tell him to “Bark!” while looking at him and then give him your hand. He will then stand still and you give him a treat.
It will take a while before your dog starts following your commands when you start using the SitStayFetch and the bark commands. This dog will require a lot of discipline and you have to be consistent in every training session. The same goes for starting the training sessions with the Beagles. You have to follow a fixed time frame or you will never be able to get your dog to obey your commands. He will quickly become confused when you change the routine and he will have no way of knowing what to do.
In the final analysis, it is very important for you to stick to your word when you say the commands. If you change your mind after the dog has begun to understand them, you are likely to have a very difficult time getting him to follow your commands. You may also discover that you do not like training sessions that involve a lot of shouting because the dog may become bored or frustrated. There is no doubt that the Beagle requires a lot of effort on your part in order to be trained effectively but he will love you if you are persistent. In this article we have looked at how to train your dog to protect you, how to teach him the dog tricks that are essential to his temperament and finally how to make sure that the dog obedience training sessions are always positive.
