Your dog may come when called, but if he doesn’t know any “come” command or the sequence to be followed, it will only lead to confusion. As the dog masters the simple “come” command, try giving him a treat. This is a dog training trick that not only works on the dog’s training, but also makes the dog feel good too. When he gets tired of waiting for the ball to be in front of him, remove the treat and replace it with another treat that will give him lots of incentive to move toward the ball. Continue doing this until you have trained your dog to touch the ball whenever he wants. Keep doing this until you have successfully trained him to perform any behavior you want.
